On April 26, 2019, the first coordination meeting on the reactivation of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Task Force Against Trafficking (NAIATFAT) was held to ensure better coordination of all operating units within the NAIA terminals. NAIATFAT is mandated to lead in the conduct of case build up, initiate witness location and security assistance, investigate (preliminary investigation or inquest) all trafficking in persons, illegal recruitment and other related cases originating from NAIA terminals, if arising from same or related incidents and prosecute these cases before the regular trial courts of their respective jurisdiction, and report for duty and hold office at the NAIA terminals based on a rotating schedule to be determined by the Task Force Head.
